October 2nd 2003
All is well in the land of Three Piece Sweet today. Its been a bumper day for recording. After a hearty breakfast we got started earlier and nailed Land Of A 1000 Kisses in the bat of an eyelid. Feeling confident I decided to go immediately for Picked Up By The Wind which I knew was going to take high energy levels out of the band.
We then had a stab at Do Right Bayou and I had to curb Windsor's enthusiasm and get him to lay back on this track, which he did to great effect.
We suddenly realised we had got three songs down by 4pm, so we went for Henry Moore and by the time the sun was going down we had it down with Windsor using brushes.
Feeling lucky I went back to Cadiz which we had failed to master yesterday due to guitar tuning problems, and got the best take yet of it.
So that's 5 backtracks in a day which is pretty good going. Danny is now putting all the 9 we have so far down onto cd so we can study them and decide which ones to try to improve on. Roll on tomorrow!
